Mirrors
Standard Glass offers custom mirror installations for residential homes and commercial businesses. All mirrors that we install are 1/4" thick with silver anodized backing and high polished edges. Mirrors can be installed in various ways, the most common is with a 5/8"  J-Channel that the mirror is set into and glued to the wall providing a clean, decorative edging. The channel we use are given a smooth, consistent finish that adds the look of quality to your installation. J-Channels are available in many different colors and finishes to choose from that best suits your taste and decor. The glue we use is an adhesive mastic formulated for adhering plate glass mirror and acrylic mirror to various substrates, such as drywall, wood, glass, metal, or tile. Free standing mirrors can be installed in the same way or with clips (either clear plastic or adjustable metal finished clips). Clips are most commonly used when installing mirrors with beveled edges (available in 3/8"-1") that are to be hung standalone in an area that does  not allow for an edge for the mirror to rest on.  Please browse this page to view finishes available and our install pictures.

These attractive, CRL Clear Plastic Mirror Clips have always been a favorite style of mirror installers everywhere. Stylish and functional, they are commonly used to secure door, wall, and vanity mirrors. It has been field and laboratory tested for compatibility wiThese CRL Adjustable Mirror Clip Sets are designed specifically for mirrors with flat seamed or beveled type edges. These attractive Clips hold mirrors firmly, yet there are no visible screws or unsightly holders. The expandable Upper Clips make it easy-to-install any mirror. Available in nickel or CRL Standard J-Channels are individually polywrapped to prevent scratching during shipping and at the construction site. The back leg is punched and slotted for easier installation. Standard J-Channel is normally used on the bottom in mirror installations.
We often run across installations that have an outlet, switch, light fixture, or facets that are within the area the mirror is being set. Measurements are taken and holes are drilled out the mirror precisely for these obstacles to pass through. The holes are then covered with a mirrored glass or acrylic plate that is oversized so that no edges of the holes can be seen, adding a much more elegant look to the mirror install. We can fabricate mirrors for you in many different ways to fit the style and layout of your space. For gyms and dance studios we also provide the option of safety backing your mirrors, so just in case you were to have an accident and a mirror should break the glass would crack but be held together by a film applied to the back. This is in addition to the support the mechanical fastners used in installtion would provide. You also have the option of different mirror colors such as: Bronze, Smoked, Peach, Blue and other colors, depending on what your are trying to achieve in terms of look.
